Stratus Jacket

Don’t wait to buy this jacket. I’ve worn it all through the Michigan bow, rifle, and muzzleloader season and have been very comfortable in it. Combined with the ambient jacket and the fanatic hoodie I have been comfortable down to about 25°.

Nice jacket

Love the jacket just as I have every other piece of Sitka gear in my kit. I’m 5’-8” and might suggest that someone consider the Tall version if they want to ensure you don’t have a drafty crack. When I sit down with this jacket and my stratus pants there is sometimes a little gap allowing for a chill. Maybe the answer isn’t a longer jacket but to get the Stratus bibs instead. Either way, I love the getup.

Haven't worn it out hunting yet but seems like a very nice jacket. Will use it for layering on those frigid late season hunts.

Stratus Jacket - Subalpine

Finally the strays came in Subalpine. Been waiting on cold weather gear in that pattern. Stratus is my go to and most versatile piece in the whole line. Its range in temperature is unmatched and so is its performance. I have stratus in elevated so now I can stay in it season long.

Very comfortable for bow hunting, one thin base layer and stayed warm in 27-35 with no problems . Normally colder on the hunt but never stayed cold this year so was unable to test out in cooler conditions

Purchased the jacket/pants/hat heading into November and they did not disappoint. As a gear junkie with a spending problem, I’ve bought more hunting attire than I care to admit. Against a closet full of quality competition, the Stratus kit immediately became my go to. Covers the Northeast season perfectly, from 55 down to 15 with appropriate layering. It’s quiet, comfortable and thoughtfully designed (pockets, integrated grunt tube, etc). It’s the perfect mid/late season archery kit, highly recommend.

Great early season Jacket

I am always between an XL and XXL with long sleeve tops. This XL jacket fits perfect for early season but there isn't much room for layers which is fine, I have the fanatic gear for that!

This is a must have jacket for moderately cold days. It blocks the wind and will keep you warm to about 30 degrees. When it gets lower than 30 I add the fanatic vest. It's amazing how such a lightweight jacket can keep you so warm.

Lightweight, warm and big pockets for all your small gadgets! Really nice gear for Archery in September and gun season in November, if it gets to cold I just add a fleece hoodie underneath and all's good!

Unexplainably Perfect

I used the Stratus Jacket for a season of whitetail hunting. The jacket is not advertised with a high rain rating and is not bulky. The jacket kept me dry in medium rain, and warm with Sitka base layers that comfortably fit underneath down to the low 20s. This jacket is super quiet when drawing on highly pressured whitetails and the size of the sleeve is perfect for avoiding the string slapping your wrist. Pockets are fantastically placed and hood work awesome.

It's been a while since

It's been a while since I purchased new hunting clothes. My mother in law was looking for a Christmas present for me so I decided it was time to upgrade some hunting gear and the stratus is where I decided to start. This is first piece of Sitka and after plenty of researching I think this jacket will be exactly what I was looking for to cut the chill when the temp starts dropping. It fit perfectly and feels great. I can't wait to get it in the woods. Definitely won't be my last piece of Sitka.
