First impressions

The hoody seems to be very well built. It is more of an athletic cut so if you like looser fitting garments size up accordingly.

Love the comfort and fit of the heavyweight hoody! Matching this up with the jetstream jacket! Going to make the long hunts a lot easier when it’s cold!

Highly recommended

The hoody is light weight, comfortable and very warm. Perfect for laying while hunting, fishing or just casual wear by itself. This is my second heavyweight hoody and will probably buy another before hunting season. Another great product Sitka!!

Light but warm hoodie

The reviews of this hoodie did not disappoint. I was skeptical at first of how light it was but turned out to be very warm.

Perfect outer/mid layer

Super warm and insulating when you’re still, but breaths exceptionally well when you’re on the move. Medium is a trim fit for me to layer under an outer shell or jacket but the arms and torso are long enough to keep it from feeling too small. 170 lbs and 6’-0” with a 6’-2” wingspan.

The Heavyweight hoody has been excellent so far. I’m 5’9”, 230 and XL gives me plenty of room for a light weight merino base layer. The build quality is outstanding and it does a great job of keeping me warm. I’ve used it as an active outer layer hiking in the low 30’s and I have been very comfortable. I plan to use it as a mid layer under my Stratus set for mid to late season Wisconsin whitetail and am sure it will help me maximize the flexibility of the Stratus set.

Definitely a great piece to have it wicks great,the long zipper is great for dumping heat,and the hood setup what I like the most. U won't be disappointed getting yourself one. Size up and send it threw the dryer if u don't have the ability to try one on unless u like a snug fit

Warm, looks good enough to wear around town. Faster drying then merino.

This hoodie is super comfortable. But I find it more useful as a base layer than an outer layer.

The heavyweight hoodie is an excellent mid layer garment. That's very versatile and fits excellent. I like it so much that I have three of them.

Great hoodie!

Exactly what I was looking for when the day turns a bit too warm for a coat or for early season or even as a great mid layer! The hood is a little different to tuck away as the lapel likes to stick up but that’s super minor. Very happy with it!

Heavyweight Awesome Hoody

This is my 2nd Heavyweight hoody and just like the 1st it is awesome. I have worn it in negative last season temps to crisp fall opening morning and it keeps always me warm. A Sitka must have item!

This hoody is worth every dollar. The mapped fleece lining is thick, warm and comfortable. The core material also helps pull sweat away from the skin for a comfy and dry hunt. For sizing I'm 5'11" 210Lbs with a 43in chest, large would be a perfect fit for a base layer or with a tee shirt underneath. If your looking to layer more size up. One of the best features is the long cuff on the bottom of the hoody. It stays tucked and doesn't turn into a belly shirt when raising your arms above your head.

Heavy Weight Hoodie

Love it, use it for every day use. Glad you guys expanded the color line. At first I didn't like the full face zip, but when I actually needed it, it made perfect sense. I would love to see this hoodie with the old apex hoodie "kangaroo pouch". I love that feature when sitting in the stand using my phone or a call, easy to store it right away.

Heavyweight Hoody

I love the Heavyweight Hoody/Deep Lichen. I have several of these in assorted colors and it is a go-to mid-layer in cool to cold conditions and an outer layer in warmer weather. The fleece is warm, and I like the versatility of the hood. This has become a favorite since I ordered the first one. The hoody is extremely comfortable. The fit matches the description. I am 5’9”, 160, 32-33 waist. I ordered a medium and it fits slightly loose. Like all Sitka products it is well made. The versatility of the shirt is what makes this one of my favorite shirts.

Worth it

I just got into sitka gear within the past year. Always more than i wanted to pay, but took a chance on some clearance items i could afford. Wow!! Love this stuff. I believe it is well worth it. Well made an fits right and warm!!

I would wear this 7 days a week as an outer layer if it was a bit tougher. It is perfect over a T-shirt for fall and no wind winter days in Texas. The name is misleading. The warmth factor is heavyweight, as a middle layer, but it’s not in a hoodie class in the traditional sense. It is PERFECT in cold, blowing, light rain/snow weather, under my Jetstream. It did start piling as soon as it got stressed (under a motorcycle jacket against some tough material) and with backpack straps directly on the material. I love the pocket, the hood, the long tail.

Solid color hoody for everyday

I pick these up when they go on sale, The right amount of comfort and warmth and a great base layer. Why support the anti hunters and tree huggers companies , pick up these when they go on sale, Wish they would just make normal everyday solids in more of the items.

I wear this hoody almost every day. I have it in blue, green and black. Comfortable, zippered you get to hot and a hood with plenty of face coverage for windy days.

Surprisingly large but still very nice

I really like my heavyweight hoodie and intend to get more in other prints. I was a little surprised at how big it is. I ordered a large which is my typical Sitka mid-top layer size. It’s very large and if you are going to use it as a base layer and want tight close to skin feel I would size down. I don’t mind that I have a large size I will wear it as a top layer in cooler conditions but in the future will order a smaller size. Finally the material is very soft and seems to be of good quality.
