The jacket was slightly small,

The jacket was slightly small, first ordered a L as that is my normal size. The jacket arrived before last years whitetail season and had to return the jacket because I was only able to fit a tight t shirt underneath and still be comfortable in the jacket. After receiving the corrected XL only after my whitetail season had ended the XL jacket fit perfectly with thin base layer and camo t shirt underneath.

Looking to update some of my old heavy hunting gear. Tried this jacket on last month at the outdoor show in PA. XL fit good and was a lot lighter then my ScentBlocker jacket.

Great jacket but not for me

The jacket is very well constructed and comfortable but I ended up returning it. I just couldn't get used to the angled zipper. I know why they did it and I know this is personal preference but it was solving a problem that really didn't exist for me. In my case, the disadvantages outweighed the benefit. Had the same jacket been offered with a center line zipper, I would have kept that one.

The build quality and attention to detail is top notch. This setup is warm enough for all season here in Kansas, quiet for close up encounters and doesn’t interfere with your shot. Size L fits just right for 190lbs and 5’ 10”.

Follow directions for sizing to ensure right size & sleeve length. I have long arms is why I recommend. Almost ordered wrong size. Seems to be warm, will test this fall. Well made. Slanted/diagonal zipper is akward until you use it a couple times. Nice roomy hand warmer pocket across the front.

So warm, my favorite piece and the only one I think is worth the price. Kangaroo pouch is amazing. I am 5’10 210 athletic build, where XL in all Sitka tops for room in the shoulders. This fits perfect in XL

Incredible Cold weather Jacket

Very warm, yet flexible. It is not too bulky, but doesn’t allow the wind or wet to break the warmth.

You can ride shotgun on the polar express with the windows down with this jacket on. Extremely warm and very comfortable. I’m still getting use to the front zipper design though

Haven’t had any sits in it yet but it’s incredibly comfortable and not bulky. The thought put into this for bow hunting is spot on.

Sitka gear is truly the best. I have purchased every brand known to mankind. This is the best. It's expensive but if you hunt like I do don't waste your money on anything else.

This jacket is the warmest piece of clothing I own. I’ve hunted in several brands over the years and was blown away by this jacket. I’ve worn north face, Patigonia and more and this beats them all. Fits true to size with a little room for layering if needed. Can’t go wrong with this jacket, and the fanatic system if you are looking to stay warm in the woods or in the outdoors.

First thoughts

Seems to be quality and that it'll be warm, but haven't used it yet... I noticed SITKA usually runs a little small, so order the size above so you could layer

The Fanatic jacket is extremely warm and comfortable suitable for the coldest days in the hunting stand. Unless it is extremely cold, you won't even need to layer beyond a base layer.
