Great pair of outdoor shoes!

I saw these and had to order! Seem true to size to me, I have what some would call a Fred Flintstone foot, and find I have plenty of room in the toe box! I bought a size 12, and normally buy a 12. They are a rigid pair of trail shoes to endure and be tough in the hunting and outdoor woods. My first experience was the 100 degree Georgia Dove opener in the middle of the day, my dawgs felt like they could breathe and weren’t too hot! I’ll have them on again for the bow opener this upcoming weekend and looking forward to it and many hunting days to come!

They feel very comfortable as I've worn them quite a bit the past couple weeks. They definitely feel like they give you a lot more support than a regular hiking shoe I cannot truly give them a five right now as I haven't had them long enough

Good stability & footbed but lacks arch support. I have to wear an additional arch support in the shoe.

Boots Run Small

Ordered size 12 and they were extremely tight. Decided to go with KEEL brand and they actually fit my foot. Make an option for a wide foot.

Love the shoe, only request would be a wide version as I had to size up to get the fit I wanted.

shoe gore-tex needs a stretchy part on the upper part. mine tore a bit when putting them on. other than that, a very comfortable shoe

The Ascent feels good. The only issue I have is with the tongue of the shoe. There should be an elastic gusset to make putting it on easier.

Love em, but one problem

Great shoes, but they HURT the top of my feet! Why would you make the tongue locked down SO tight??? That's what laces are for! Are my feet among the tallest? I don't have thia problem with other shoes. Total bummer because I really want to wear these for my archery elk hunt this month. Help!!!!

The comfort of these shoes are better than I expected! They do run a little narrow in my opinion, but pretty close to true size. I went a half size up and they fit great.

Ascent - Gore-Tex

Although I have not used this shoe yet for hiking or hunting, I am casually wearing it right now and it is very comfortable and the fit is great. I did have some small issue with the original size chart concerning this shoe prior to ordering, but Sitka Customer Service advised to order my normal size. And that would be my advice to anyone getting ready to purchase this shoe - just order your normal and do not pay attention to the size chart. Very happy with my purchase, well constructed and good looking shoe.

Wore them around camp and doing some chores on the property. Mainly in the morning, long grass covered in dew. Feet stayed dry and shoes are comfortable.

I haven’t worn in the field yet, but they are very comfortable and supportive. They look nice and we’ll go with any camo pattern.

Don’t hesitate to purchase. Pissed me off though, they didn’t have the camouflage ones to offer.

Narrow, questionable torsional stability

I’d like to provide a thorough review here because if you’re like me and can only order Sitka online, reviews are very helpful. Unfortunately, I could not get these shoes on my feet, they were too narrow. A larger size wasn’t the answer, the insoles were 3/16” longer than the ones from my current running shoes. So, I don’t know who these will fit - maybe if you slip on climbing shoes like clogs to run to the mailbox, these will work for you? I also gave them a good twist and, compared to my approach shoes, they were soft - so more like runners than something you’d use off-trail. Same for the tread - definitely an on-trail lug pattern and not something I’d want to use on wet rock. If they bumped up the grip, the torsional stability and added a wide, I’d try them again.

Great shoe

The only negative thing I can say is that it is a little bit more stiff than I would prefer but it does give great support and going to be an all-around great shoe.

Great shoes! Been rucking with

Great shoes! Been rucking with a 50lb pack for 3 miles everyday now for 3 weeks and there holding up great with no signs of wear. I also checked the waterproofness by standing in my tub for a few minutes and my feet were dry. Would recommend!

As always the best thing about this stuff is the quality

Now have around 45 miles on them training for a hunt. Route each down into a canyon and across then back same way. Watch says up 24 flights of stairs on the round trip. As before traction, ability to better place footing, and silence are top notch. No break in required, and no hot spots. Can’t say enough great things about them.

Great Shoe!

This is a great outdoors shoe. Everything from trail running, scouting, fishing the river Bank or just walking in the wet grass. They fit great and keep your feet dry.

These shoes fit perfectly, the width is perfect. Walk 3 miles the first time and no sore feet.

Great shoe

I am very impressed with this shoe. It’s soft and comfortable but very grippy which is what I wanted. They have a little bit of a break in period. We’ll see how long they last

Ascent Gore-tex shoe

The shoe looks very well built, but very very difficult to put on. Advertisements and specs need to include the width size, which it does not. And the tightness of the inner structural wrap makes it very very difficult to put on if you have even the slightest high instep. Modifications need to be made for high insteps, and width indicated, or provide various widths. Had to return!

I am still breaking them in. The webbing on the insides are digging into the balls of my feet. Giving them a chance but honestly thinking about returning them.

I would like to return my order.

They just simply don't fit my feet well.

Great new trail runners

I have a tough time finding great trail running shoes because I am a size 14 - all the size 14 guys must beat me to the purchase - because they are never available. Thank you SITKA!

Shoe is pretty tight when

Shoe is pretty tight when putting on. A real struggle to get the foot in. After breaking in slightly better but still difficult. Was able to walk significant distance right from beginning without experiencing foot issues. Overpriced considering fit and the fact they are made in Vietnam.

Bad fit

I love the looks and weight of these shoes but they were a very narrow size 10. I would think that there is some consideration for the type of socks we wear when hiking or hunting.
