Great jacket, super comfortable. Warm too. Only nock is it isn't windproof. In the upper Midwest everything needs to be.

I have several Sitka pieces,

I have several Sitka pieces, this is great but for some reason runs a bit smaller than my other pieces, rides up and tight in the armpits. The face mask that's built into the hood is also tight, don't think I'll be using it anytime soon. I'm a small guy, 5'6', 120 lbs, and can sometimes get away with buying kids sizes for reference.

Simply the best gear you can buy. Will not be disappointed.

Super Warm. I am 5'11

Super Warm. I am 5'11 170 pounds and the large fits perfect. Anything between 30-40 degrees this jacket is perfect. If the temp drops below 30, I wear this hoody with my Fanatic jacket and never get cold. The material is also really quiet.

This is a good overall

This is a good overall jacket. This took the place of the very poorly designed celsius midi jacket. This is warmer, fits better and is much more resistant to wear. The only draw back is there's no safety harness pass through. Very unacceptable in todays hunting market.

The Traverse Hoody is an

The Traverse Hoody is an awesome layering piece in my Sitka arsenal. The fall/winter air where I'm at is super dry. I wear this hoody on most hunts over a Heavyweight Hoody and under a Delta jacket. Last week I was out in -17 and wore this under a Boreal jacket and was toasty. This hoody breathes great - walks to/from the blind, busting ice, dragging a boat - I don't ever overheat in it.

Overall, I like this jacket

Overall, I like this jacket and will/do use it in the season. I'm not a huge fan of how stiff and bulky it feels and how the hood sits when not wearing the mask. On it's own, this jacket is not great for any kind of low temperatures but paired with a windbreaker or the kelvin aerolite hoody it actually does feel quite nice and warm. I like the thumb holes, and when wearing the mask it is all very snug and form fitting. The insulation is a little scratchy at first but that is to be expected.

Awesome jacket, just wish it

Awesome jacket, just wish it had some drawstring and bungee adjusters on the hood. Other than that it's been perfect!

The fabric collar of this

The fabric collar of this redesigned garment is attached to the fleece hood, with a strip of tape… which is ridiculous for Sitka to think tape would actually hold onto a fleece. It arrived with that tape failing and coming apart right out of the bag. My other/older traverse hoodie has an actual collar, not just a piece of fabric taped to the fleece hood. I hope this isn’t a sign of diminishing quality of the future of Sitka. I pay for quality, no matter the cost. I refuse to pay for cheap quality trash. I love my other traverse hoodie, but this new traverse hoodie will be returned, for I will not accept the trash quality of the collar.

Got this product because it

Got this product because it was on sale and wanted to try something new. For how light and breathable this jacket is, it is extremely warm even on the cold days. My only reccomendation for anyone looking to buy this jacket is to know that Sitka sizes run a little small. I wear a size medium usually, but the size large fits more like a medium despite its label.

I live in southern Louisiana and it’s great for when it gets cold down here. Only thing bad is the face mask wants to rip when you put it on.

This was a missing link

This was a missing link in my Sitka line up! It will be a very key part of my yearly system. It covers so many bases for my needs. I will use it from early season archery to layering in cold weather for hunting, trapping, fishing all the way thru spring trout fishing!! With the thickness, the hood built in face mask to the half hand covering it is a game changer for my needs!! And it looks great too.

Medium - Optifade Timber Fits

Medium - Optifade Timber Fits great im 5' 6' 120 lbs. Super warm and soft. Only complaints I have is the face mask in the hood is really tight on the face, also not very good wind protection. Otherwise its a great product.

5’11” 200 lbs size L

5’11” 200 lbs size L fits perfect. I’ve had this jacket for a couple years. Brought it along on a late season rifle hunt in Montana. Temps ranged from -17- upper 20s with snow and wind. I wore this over the top of a core lightweight and heavyweight hoody. Can’t say enough how comfortable I was. When I did sweat I dried out quickly with this system. Sitka is expensive stuff but man does it work. Highly recommend this hoody.

This is a great hoodie,

This is a great hoodie, well made and fits nicely with not a lot of extra material to get in your way. The face mask is a nice touch and stays out of the way when not needed. Can’t comment on longevity or how it handles precip yet but time will tell. Definitely worth the money.

The Traverse hoody is easily

The Traverse hoody is easily one of my favorite purchases from Sitka. It is warm enough to wear in freezing temperatures if you are moving and works as a great base layer if you are stationary.

So far I have been

So far I have been very happy with my Sitka gear. Light weight, warm, and breathable. I went one size up because the clothing seems to run one size smaller than normal. Only reason for not giving it 5 stars is because I wish it was a little better on the waterproofing side, other than that, it is my go to jacket for hunting.

I’m very impressed with the

I’m very impressed with the overall design of the hoodie! Very good October to early November, it’s not the best for late season gear but so far I’ve really enjoyed the gear, I bundled up under it and I stay warm, instead of buying the higher stuff I recommend getting another jacket or vest and you’ll be set for the year in all conditions! The traverse gear isn’t the best for rain or snow, the rain soaks into your pants and is not waterproof. Then you have to wash it or make sure it’s dry! Overall I can’t really complain about the gear! It is very durable and comfortable gear! I really recommend getting it overall!

This thing has been used

This thing has been used way more than I expected so far this season. I’ve been wearing it as an outer piece with proper layering to the low 30s. Incredibly quiet. So far handles thorn patches decently. No snags yet. I’m in between sizes on Sitka tops. This one in large fit snug so I sized up.

Took this out today and kept me toasty in high 40's. I paired it with the mountain jacket and I was warm all day.

This is my new favorite

This is my new favorite jacket from Sitka. First impression was the comfort. This is also extremely quiet. The hood and face mask fit great and do not alter your vision when rotating your head. I did size up from my normal size after reading the reviews and I made the correct choice. I’m 5’ 9” 190lbs and the XL fits me perfect. I could say good things about this jacket all day. Definitely will be getting a different color soon.

I’m new to Sitka Gear,

I’m new to Sitka Gear, and I’m happy with the results of the hoody. I wore it in Indiana this past week with temps varying from the low 30s to 60s. The warmer temps i paired with stratus pants. Colder weather it was paired with the fanatic bibs. A base layer, a normal long sleeve shirt and this hoodie kept toasty in 33 degree mornings. Fit is great. I had several deer over the course of the week within single yard distances and none of them were ever on alert. I was fortunate to kill a great 10 point buck and was extremely comfortable doing so. My only thing I’d like to see is a pass through for a harness. The fanatic jacket was too warm for me, and I want the option to wear the harness under the hoody

I am a bow hunter and this jacket is perfect for the average bowhunter. It has a nice fit.

I love this jacket, it’s

I love this jacket, it’s comfortable, a good layer, and extremely warm. The materials on the inside feel amazing and the fit is extremely good, would definitely recommend this jacket

Although I’m yet to wear

Although I’m yet to wear this product outside it is clearly very high quality and very well made. The XL fits me (6ft 5”) very well. The only thing stopping me from giving this product 5 stars is the fact that the face mask can’t be worn comfortably whilst wearing ear defenders, which is a shame as I much prefer ear defenders to ear plugs as ear defenders help hold up my glasses. But this will hopefully get lots of use over the years to come wildfowling in England.

I have a lot of

I have a lot of Sitka gear and this may be the only product i’ve been iffy about. I ordered the hoody in my normal sitka size and for some reason this was small on me. I normally order mediums and they are a tad big on me. So i was surprised this in a medium was too small. It also has a weird fit. It’s long which is fine with clothing that is flexible but this hoody is stiff so they length bunches up at the bottom. But, it’s very warm. I want to love it, so I may have to return and get a bigger size. I wish they still made the gradient hoody. It was a much better fit.

My new favorite piece (

My new favorite piece ( well maybe a tie with the waders). Love the full length front zipper. Getting older and shoulders not working as well as they used to. Also security of zipper pockets for keys, wallet, and appears to be a bigger chest phone zipper.

I love it and think it’s a great mid layer, I would recommend to most people possibly going a size up I usually wear a large in all my Sitka but had to go to an Xl because of how snug the large was

Awesome jacket. Ordered a size XL and the fit is great. Fleece lining is warm. Will be a great outer layer for when its not windy and I dont need to wear the Stratus jacket. The XL hoody also fits well underneath the XL Stratus jacket.

Love this piece, will be replacing my Equinox Hoody. Only thing keeping it from 5 stars is that I wish it had the hole in the back for the safety harness.

This jacket has exceeded my

This jacket has exceeded my initial expectations in its versatility. The tight weave of the exterior sheds water and wind more than expected and its quiet too. It won't stand up to downpours and really windy conditions but it performs well in most conditions. The warmth is exceptional and will work for mid-to-late season western weather. The fit is great and not overly bulky due to the body mapped fleece. Overall this piece integrates well with the system I use in the northern Rockies.
