Wrong size, my benefit

I bought a large as a Christmas present for my future son-in-law, he needed an xtra large. So it fit me, and I kept it, glad I did. It is soft, like a fleece, yet wind proof, which is great. That makes a huge difference in warmth, another thing that makes it warmer than most fleeces, and hoodies is how it cinches around the head tightly, and this is adjustable. The hood also has a small visor, good for keeping some sun, and/or precipitation out if your eyes/glasses, though I’d probably still wear a truckers hat with a longer visor for that. Being soft it is quiet, with matching pants from Sitka it would be great for hunting. It’s not cheap, but it is great quality. Long sleeves, I have long arms, and they are perfect for me, the waist cinches also so the wind is kept out, and heat kept in, I usually wear an xtra large/large at 5’11” and 185, the large is large enough to allow a base, and even a mid layer underneath. If I’m hiking I can wear it down to the low 20’s. If I was sitting hunting to the mid 30’s.

Stratus Jacket - can’t wait for fall archery whitetail deer season

Haven’t tried this in the field yet but am looking forward to trying this jacket out in the archery deer season next fall. It’s not silent but is pretty darn quiet so hoping it will work out and that having a quiet windproof layer will outweigh the noise of the material. My only beef is that Sitka doesn’t make this in a women’s line yet. Please do Sitka, I want the bibs!! I ordered the men’s medium so I could layer underneath and I will have plenty of room to do that.

Stratus jacket size XL

Exceptionally well designed jacket with the right amount of varsity hunter features, including warmth. Be advised, the outer shell is a fleece-like material so the camo pattern is "fuzzy" and not as sharp as some of their other products. This is a fantastic jacket!

Stratus Jacket

This piece of gear is great for lat October into early November. I will run this when temps are in the 40s and 50s. Its very quiet and adds just enough warmth to keep you comfortable all hunt.

Stratus jacket

This is one of the best and most versatile jackets a whitetail hunter could own. The fact that it’s wind proof makes it perform like a jacket that is much heavier than it is. I love that it’s now available in subalpine for the earlier part of the hunting season.

Nothing but the best from Sitka, jacket is comfortable and well designed. The windblocker is an excellent addition!

Great Jacket

I was very impressed with the windproofing. Very comfortable and doesn't impede mobility. You will need to layer appropriately if you plan on using this into the 30's. Not the warmest by itself.

Size Up

Items is cut for a slim fit style- I would definitely suggest sizing up.

It is what I wear

It is what I wear bow hunting whenever I need a jacket that cuts the wind. Actually my second one different color I wear the whole stratus outfit most of the time Bo w Hunting. I usually buy large jackets this coat I buy a medium, so it doesn’t interfere with shooting my bow and arrow.
