Awesome jacket!!

Really enjoyed this jacket during the later part of November hunting in Alberta. On the colder days I’d pair this with the 330 merino hoody and a Jetstream. Very warm for a light weight jacket. Hardly notice it in your pack when you take it off. Another great Sitka product!

Excellent

Warmth to weight is excellent. Don’t go breaking brush with this but it’s great as an everyday jacket, outer layer when stationary or mid layer. 6 foot, 220lbs and XL fits perfect.

So light and warm

I photograph birds out in the Michigan elements and this coat is my new go to. I was always a lover of puffy down insulation, but this has made me a believer in this new technology. I love everything about it- especially the hood I can pull up when the wind is coming from behind me.

My kid won’t give it back now

I bought this coat for me and my son used it during our rifle deer hunt. He loved the coat so much that he won’t give it back! This coat is light weight, packs up nice and small and is very warm. Love it and will definitely buy a second one for me.

Extremely light and warm

This jacket is well made and very comfortable. The shell is soft and can be worn on the outside or inside an outer shell. I bought the xl tall. It fits my long arms well.

It is a bit “whoosh”

It is a bit “whoosh” sounding, so it is not quiet to but it is warm. I wear a size large in clothing but like normal with Sitka always order a size bigger than you wear in regular clothing

I bought a size larger than usual. I use it while glassing so I like to toss it over the layers I use for when I’m moving around.

Exactly what I was looking for

I bought this for later season upland hunting. I wanted something lite, warm, easy to move around in. It is perfect for that.

Stains easily

I bought this jacket with hopes of wearing it as a hunting mid layer and as an outer layer casually. After a couple days of very light wear around home, I noticed a couple spots that looked like oil splatter but couldn’t explain them. I spot treated them with no luck. Then, I noticed more so I washed it. It came out of the wash covered in spots. I now know that water stains it. I believe that there is an oil in the insulation that is released when it gets wet. I have reached out to customer service 2x with no response. The jacket is surprisingly warm to be so light and packable. It’s too bad the material stains so badly.

New Go To!

This jacket has pretty well overtaken any other jacket I wear! It stays with me 100% of the time now! Super light and quieter than I expected! Highly recommend!

Best packable puffy

Hands down a puffy will always come in my pack weather it’s August caribou, September Moose, or November Blacktail. This one is very comfy and very packable.

Aside from being 100% waterproof this jacket exceeds the boundaries of comfort and function. From Bristol bay Alaska to the Wind River Wyoming the Aerolite scores a 'home run'.

Warmer than it looks - Wish it came with arm pit zippers

Typical great Sitka quality, not as quiet as some other jackets. I’d have given it 5 stars if it had arm pit zippers. I’m 6’-3” 240lbs, with a long torso and the XL-Tall fits great.

My go to coat

Absolutely love this coat. It’s an awesome all around coat. Very package and toasty warm when you need to take the chill off of you in or out of the field. Wear it when prepping for hunts, on a hunt or afterwards. This coat is.my favorite all around go to coat. Probably buying another one for everyday usage. Love it!!

Love the jacket but at sales prices

I purchased this jacket and feel like I got a smoking deal on sale. I’m not sure I’d pay >$300 for one but I got it as an everyday use in color storm. It’s by far my favorite between season jacket. Good enough for work, casual enough for everyday -!: ice wind breaking and down to 35 deg jacket. I have other Sitka product for hunting - this is too loud for me but love it!!!

Best shell/outer layer

Very well made jacket. Does everything it advertises for. Love how silent it is. I’m 5’9” 170lbs, I ordered a Medium, probably should’ve ordered a Large but it still fits well enough. May not be able to layer up too much.

Aerolite

I will say I really enjoy how light and packable this jacket is, runs true to size, and is offered in a ton of great colors. This replaced the kelvin lite hoody, but I find myself going for the kelvin lite more often as it's way warmer. The kelvin lite was my favorite piece of gear. I hope we can get a warmer version of this jacket similar to the kelvin lite synthetic that has been discontinued.

My favorite jacket.

By far the best jacket i have ever owned. light weight, yet very warm for its size. Stuffs easily taking up little real-estate in your pack. I've used it down to 14 degrees F, glassing elk, layered with a traverse hoodie and bibs and a jet stream jacket. Worked very well. Anything much colder that that and I would recommend adding another layer, or getting a bigger jacket. Extremely pleased with the performance of the Kelvin Aerolite Jacket!

Nice jacket

This jacket is very nice. I bought 2 lol. One for everyday wear and one for hunting. It is a little noisy compared to other jackets but not noisy to where deer will hear you. It is extremely warm. It's very comfortable. Fits very nice as well. Packs down real nice too so if you want to pack it in so you can pull it out if it gets chilly it takes up very little room in your pack. Great piece.

Really nice jacket. When you

Really nice jacket. When you put it on, you think it can't be that warm because it is so light. A few weeks ago, I wore it for about an hour on the high hunting seat of a vehicle going 50 MPH on a cool night in Africa. The wind resistance was great and I did not feel the slightest chill. I am looking forward to using it this fall on some cold weather hunts I have planned.

I used this jacket on

I used this jacket on a combo ski/fly fishing trip in April to Breckenridge Colorado and on the Gunnison river! The weather was all over the place! From a blizzard to a sunny 30 degree day in the mountain. Great packability into my daypack on the river was awesome! Thanks for a great product!

Since purchasing I have worn

Since purchasing I have worn this jacket as my outside layer over my sitka hoodie. I fished Pyramid lake on a ladder in the open with 26 degree temps (in the morning up to 45 during the day) and a 7 mph wind. The jacket kept me warm and comfortable. The hood came in handy when I needed some extra protection from the wind. It also came in handy fishing in the snow in upper Michigan for steelhead. If you are battling the elements and want a top notch jacket, this one will work for you.

This is probably my most

This is probably my most favorite peace of Sitka gear I own. Hands down the most comfortable jacket I've ever worn. I hate to take it off, and even want to sleep in it. I have it in 2 patterns so far and will probably have a couple more before its all said and done. The Aerolite is a great hunting jacket on its own, great casual wear, packs down incredibly small, light weight, and can be layered easily. If you have a 20 degree sleeping bag but want to hunt/camp later in the season, don't buy another $500-$1000 0 or - degree bag, just sleep in this jacket! Look, I'm as cheap as they come. I've tried almost every brand of hunting clothing out there and if I haven't tried it, I promise I've spent countless hours researching it. I'm the kind of person that will spend 4 hours researching a $20 product and comparing it before a purchase. I can say with absolute certainty that Sitka is the BEST clothing line on the market. Not just hunting clothes, but best overall. Their clothes are cozy, durable, and designed to keep you extremely comfortable with minimal layers and bulk. You can buy other brands and replace them every few years, or buy Sitka and your set for decades if not life. Buy once cry once! Bottom line is this isn't clothing, its equipment. More than that, it's equipment that could quite literally save your life in the back country. Once you realize that, the price is absolutely justifiable. I trust this company so much that I will buy their stock if they go public and I'd quit my job to work for them if they have an opening. That is how much I believe in Sitka.

Very warm. Warmer than other

Very warm. Warmer than other “puffy” jackets I own. Need to layer against wind. Like that it works when wet (although it’s not meant to be water resistant). When I have the hood on it feels like a I have heater installed in the neck area. Surprisingly thin but gets the job done. I’m a smaller build barely registering in at 5’7, and it feels a bit baggy (size:M) for me (not fitted) but still fits fine. Thankful for finally having a go-to warm jacket.

Great and light layering jacket. I would give five stars but the cuffs are so tight I have a hard time removing it. I didn’t know my wrist were so large!? I’m having the cuffs altered by adding a zipper

I own multiple pieces of

I own multiple pieces of Sitka clothing and am please by the performance of most of the gear. Some items do not fit as I would expect / hope and that has been a source of frustration. When it comes to this jacket, I am the most pleased that I have been with any piece of apparel that I own. Light weight, well-fitted, warner than expected. This jacket has supplanted much of my gear as it serves multiple purposes and is just an awesome jacket! Could not be happier with it!

I love this jacket. Im 5'8, 215lb and an XL fits me like a glove. Range of motion is great and its super warm. However, it has two fatal flaws. I live in Wisco and even in the lightest snow with my body heat, it is water logged and worthless. A little DWR would have gone a long way. And finally, this is the flimsiest material of any jacket Ive ever owned. I've had it two seasons now, worn mostly for dog training and commuting to work. (For which im not going to layer a shell over it). Occasional late season pheasant hunts. It rips constantly. I frankly cant believe this is marketed as hunting wear, because if you can't take it on light duty woods hikes with dogs, you certainly couldn't take it whitetail hunting in the sticks or for a week in the mountains. To be fair, every other piece pf Sitka gear I have is super durable and top notch. But this has been repaired several times and is now a $300 piece of garbage.

This is now one of my go-to jackets. Works great as a lightweight mid-layer underneath a shell for cold waterfowling days or just around town. Not a jacket to wear as a single piece on super frigid days, but not designed to be either. I'm a stocky 5'11 and it was great to finally find a size L I could fit my arms into without feeling like a human sausage. Tapered ends of the sleeves prevent bunching and bulk under a shell, jacket still provides excellent range of motion if you're swinging a fly rod or a shotgun.
