This jacket truly is special, it way outperforms my expectations. When you first put it on you don’t expect it to be warm but it truly is.

Aerolite Jacket

Glad to see Sitka finally use a top tier Primaloft product instead of tier 2 and 3. In other pieces Sitka has used tier 2, 3, and even 4 Primaloft, while keeping pricing at premium Primaloft dollars (increases margins, but not wise customers). I have many Sitka pieces for many different pursuits, and have had to use competitors for superior insulating pieces. This aerolite jacket has potential. It is lightweight and warm, but not a wet environment replacement for a down puffy for brutally cold days and/or long sits. The fit is also a bit baggy, even over a base and heavyweight mid/base layers. I am 5 10, 195, 44 chest, 32 waist. Intended use is late season waterfowl, spring turkey and bear in high country, and caribou/moose.

Good puffy jacket overall.

Form and fit good, insulation adequate for a light puffy. I do not like the bulky, never-used cinch cord attached to the back of the hood is very annoying as it is on every Sitka Jacket.

Great Jacket

This jacket is incredibly lightweight yet super warm. Just got done with duck season in California and couldn’t be happier with the purchase. Wore the jacket and thin merino wool base layer and was plenty warm at 42-45 degrees. Had to unzip when setting up decoys as it got a little too warm.

Super light and warm

This jacket it very warm , light and comfortable but it's basically made of paper and rips very easily when worn as the outter layer . If you're going to purchase this as an outer layer I highly suggest buying a patch kit and leaving it in the jacket because you'll need it.

Minimal bulk but great layering warmth. Comfortoable and nicely styled. Worth every penny!!

This jacket is very light, very warm and very comfortable. But the down side is that it is basically made of paper and rips almost instantly when out in the field. I highly suggest this jacket gets sold with a patch kit because you will need it .

Bad A** Jacket

Light weight, minimal, warm, stands light drizzles pretty well. Dries super fast. EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE. If you ever used a woobie in the army. You’ll know what I mean.

Works for women too

I bought this for myself because I preferred the color and this particular style over the women’s. My husband had it and I had worn it a couple of times when I forgot a jacket. Got it in a medium and love it.

Perfect sizing, very warm

Light weight and warm.

I found this jacket for around $150 which is at least 50 percent off. I love it for that price point, but if I had paid the full $325 it normally goes for I would be disappointed. $325 is too much for the weight and warmth of this. As with all Sitka gear, it is well made and fits great and with the sale made this Item a ggo buy.

My of my Favorite jackets

I had a high country hoody for the last 3 years, very similar. It was my everyday jacket in the winter months, absolutely amazing light weight jacket. Now, I wear my aerolite just as much, from -10 to 40. This jacket performs! Very highly recommended!!

Love the jacket very worm light and comfy. I'm 6.2 165 large fits but a little short in the waist should have got the tall. All of sitka shirts and jackets seem to be made for short people in body length.

Great jacket, worst zipper

As much as I hate to put a bad review on a product, sometimes we have to, otherwise manufacturers won’t make improvements. This jacket has a lot of positives, it’s light, comfortable, excellent wind protection, mobility is great, it just feels great when wearing it, then why my 3 stars, the zipper, it just constantly gets stuck on the upper section of the fabric every time I have to zipper it up all the way, it happens so many times that today I just ended up ripping it, I hope Sitka look into this and make improvements, because other than that it’s truly an amazing jacket; but the skinny stupid zipper ruined it for me. I can’t recommend it because of this, maybe other people didn’t have this issue, but this is my honest review. I own lots of Sitka stuff and I will be reviewing them soon, most are top notch stuff.

Great jacket! My second one

Great jacket! My second one and won't be my last. Have one to take hunting and another to wear out (like I don't wear all my sitka out lol) all around great jacket. my favorite one I own by far.

Warm jacket

This is an excellent jacket. I recently wore it underneath my Jetstream jacket on a very cold (~20 deg F) and windy (10-25mph) day, the two are a winning combination together. The aerolite jacket barely feels like it is there, it compresses down to a minuscule size when you don't need it, and has just enough features to be immensely useful. I would not wear it as a standalone jacket, as that would not be a good use. As a light insulating layer you can keep with you for when you really need it, it excels.

Very warm and fits well. Only issue I'm having is occasionally zipper gets caught on fabric around neck when zipping completely up.

I absolutely love this jacket. It is so lightweight but also warm. Easy to carry as an extra layer. Has become my main jacket around town and in the woods.

Aerolite Jacket

I was very impressed with this jacket. Loved the ability to pack it away or wear it as an insulated piece. Can be a great all around jacket for daily use or a great hunting option.

Best jacket ever.

I'd spent a long time comparing other brands for equivalent jackets (MEC, Arc'teryx, North Face, Patagonia, etc.) and just had a hard time accepting the price vs. quality, as I own products from all those brands and have never been amazed by the quality. After learning about Sitka and hearing friends rave about how good their products were I decided to give it a try and found a great deal on a boxing day sale. I work in film and will frequently spend upwards of 12hrs outside in all conditions. I've worn this jacket everyday for two weeks since I got it and I absolutely love it. Keeps me warm without overheating, very slim fit and not bulky at all (perfect for layering under my rain jacket), and it doesn't have down which is huge as one of my coworkers has an extreme down allergy! If this jacket ever wears out I will definitely be purchasing another. The ONLY complaint I have is that the jacket wasn't on sale in black, which would have been ideal for my industry, but I do really like the colour I got.

Very warm and compact but……

The coat does all that I want it to do but it does stain fairly easy. It may have been the color I chose but still I wish it would not stain so easily. I would recommend this coat to anyone wanting a coat for their pack and some lightweight warmth.

Color

Color is called lizard and is green in the photo. Quality is great but it is gold in color.

I couldn’t believe how warm this jacket was especially compared to how light it is. I haven’t tried yet but I’m betting I’ll be able to pack this down and hardly know I’m carrying it.

Lightweight and warm

I liked the aerolite jacket so much I bought the solid color to wear when not hunting. This is a great piece to have at all times, it packs down small and is worth its weight in warmth.

Great mid or outer layer

This jacket offers fantastic insulation and decent wind and water protection. It isn’t super snag resistant however, and you do have to baby it a bit wearing it while hunting. I usually tuck it under waders with a delta wading jacket over top for late marsh, or I throw a Dakota vest over top.

Impressive!

I purchased this for my husband after discovering he had wanted it for several years. I was thrilled to surprise him with something he would never buy for himself. He absolutely loves it! It is lightweight yet extremely warm. And it looks great!
