Killer jacket

Jacket works great to shed wind. It’s not heavily insulated. So if you’re in very cold weather you’ll want an underwater. The armpit vents are great for venting on the hike in. The zippers are cold if you’re not wearing a layer underneath, though. One of my favorite new pieces.

I have an older Jetstream

I have an older Jetstream and this newer one is a bit smaller. It’s great if you want no excess material for archery or climbing, but I was hoping for something like the old model in terms of fit, layering under, and comfort. The material seems rugged and I would take it anywhere I needed a dependable windproof warm shell.

I love the way the jacket looks and fits although I needed a 3xl to fit. I bought it two years ago as a year end closeout. If I paid full price i would be very upset. The Gore Windstop doesn't work nearly as well as Cabela's windshear that is a fraction of the price! The Gore Windstop is supposed to be nearly as waterproof as full Goretex and my jacket in a light rain wets all the way through within a few minutes even after having sprayed a full can of Camp Dry on it not more than a week before. The jacket is very well built and looks as good today as the day I got it but the performance is not what I would expect from a jacket that would normally cost almost $400 at full retail and even at the $175 I paid as a year end closeout I am disappointed on the performance. I do love the pit zips for late fall and winter hikes but the wind resistance and waterproofness is why I bought it and they are lacking based upon the hype and my expectations from the descriptions from Sitka.

An ideal jacket for everyday wear, cool / cold weather.

Living in the Eastern Cascade mountains of Oregon we can see low 30's at night, mid to hight 70's by afternoon. The Jetstream Is light, packable, while extremely warm when zipped up. This jacket is a winner. I am an Elk hunter, have worn a camo version for years, purchased this solid colored version for 'street' wear.

Great all around jacket! Windblocker makes it warmer than it seems to be. Pit zips help regulate body temp when you’re on the move. It’s my 90% jacket.

I really like using this jacket as an outer with my ambient jacket and a mid layer. I have been using successfully it in the timber pattern for both ducks and deer.

I got this jacket for bird hunting but I’m sure I’ll use it for elk hunting as well. Perfect all around jacket.

Good layering piece

This is not a heavy jacket. You won’t be using it as an outer layer under 35 degrees. Knowing those limits it’s very versatile, good venting for walks in, and fantastic a blocking wind and rain while still being a pretty quiet soft shell .

After my recent purchase of

After my recent purchase of the Jetstream Jacket, I can positively say I am happy with this item. With using a great layering system from Sitka, this was the final piece to my puzzle in completing my late season hunting attire. It helped on the snowy and rainy days to keep me dry, while not allowing the cold, harsh wind to cut through me. Would recommend for those who hunt in varying conditions. The fit of this run just a hair small, especially if you are going to layer below it. I would suggest to bump up one size.

One of my favourite pieces to date. I got it in the olive type color. I wear it out casually , I wear it when it’s cooler or very cold. I wear it as a base layer, or just a huntin coat with my vest overtop with it being green. My favourite coat ever!

I love this jacket! I spilt my coffee all over the front the first day I wore it and was horribly upset thinking it was stained. Simple rag and water, poof. Super comfy, lightweight, easy to wear, definitely getting another color.

The windstopper material works as advertised. I was outside in 30deg and 20-30mph wind gusts, and the wind did not cut through. Armpit zippers are great for not overheating while moving, I don’t think I have sweat through anything while wearing this jacket, regardless of how much movement I was doing. I wish the hand pockets were a bit larger, and it would be nice if the sleeves were lined with something “slippery” to prevent your shirt from binding up inside the sleeves when putting on and taking off the jacket.

Jetstream Jacket is Legit

This is the best jacket that Sitka makes. It is the most versatile, layers extremely well, and is 100% windproof. I had this jacket with me in every occasion possible this last hunting season from 50 degrees all the way down to zero.

Windproof as it advertised

I competed in a windy December shooting match. The shooting range is located within a large crop field, and the forecast showed 17 MPH head winds out of the north with a temp of 49 degrees. Knowing how well my Stratus jacket worked against the wind in tree stands, I grabbed my new Jetstream to wear at the match. It worked just like I knew it would. Most of the other shooters were wearing bulky heavy jackets; some were even in coveralls. Not me. I was mobile and breathable in my Jetstream.
