Guard Pro Pant Reviews

I loved the first Guard

I loved the first Guard Pants. The new Guard Pro are even better. These are very comfortable and versatile. Best of all, they keep the ticks and chiggers off.

Works great, lightweight and breathable.

Works great, lightweight and breathable. Ran a little small on waist, got next side up and fit good

Noisy!!!

These pants are incredibly noisy. They are likely very good for bug protection but dont plan to wear them in an environment where stealth is important. Fit is decent I wear a 32x30 pants and bought the 34 they have just enough room to put some long John's under if need be.

Great design, but noisy fabric

I’m a huge fan of the original Equinox Guard pant, so these were an almost instant buy for me. I want to love them, but the fabric is just too noisy. There is a constant “swish swish” when walking that makes me hesitant to wear them when stealth is a priority. That said, the durability, design, and updated fit are great. The phone pocket is a major upgrade on its own and is super convenient when hunting out of a saddle. I’m in Florida where the bugs and brush are thick, and the temperature is hot and wet. These would be perfect if not for the noise.

I knew that being a

I knew that being a Sitka product these would be high quality, but they exceeded my expectations. I bought these pants to guide quail hunts in the Florida pines and palmettos. Not only are they great for warmer weather but so far they have yet to snag or wear near the bottom of the legs from the brush. You can’t even tell they’ve been worn. I don’t know how these would do in the grouse woods of Michigan but for me these are perfect.

Good fit, well made. Great

Good fit, well made. Great for turkey hunts and early warm bow seasons.

G Pro Pants

Excellent for those South Ga early season days in Oct. Lite weight and comfortable

Very durable pants

Light weight, very strong and durable.

These pants are very functional

These pants are very functional and ward away the mosquitoes so common during early bow season in South Louisiana. I only wish that I would have purchased them sooner, as in many years ago. Thank you Sitka!

Great pant

I’ve worn the pants a couple times. Feel great. Light weight. Like the zippered pockets and vents.

Guard pro pants

These pants are my go to for spring gobblers and early fall big game. Comfortable with function.

Very comfortable pants. I wish

Very comfortable pants. I wish they were a little quieter.

Great pant

Super lightweight and comfortable. Shed water and dry quickly.

I like em; no more

I like em; no more chiggers running up my legs on the ranch!

Seem to work as stated…

Pants fit nice , I like the vents on sides for walking and letting heat out. I don’t think you will be dissatisfied if you purchase a pair.

Pretty good, but could have been great

The fit and finish of these pants is excellent, and I’m excited to use them in a saddle because of the knee pads, but it seemed kind of cheap on Sitka’s part to not include a pair of kneepads with the pants. Otherwise, I think tree stand/saddle hunting is where these will excel , as opposed to spot and stalk hunting, because the pants are surprisingly loud. In general, though, I’m a huge fan of the Equinox Guard line—I’ve worn the line a bunch since it came out and never had an issue with bugs, even on the Maryland Eastern Shore, where the mosquitoes are THICK!

Guard Pro

These pants are high quality! The fit is accurate for the size and the build quality is just like all Sitka gear, top notch.

Excellent pants, but not thorn repellent

Love these pants. 6’1” 230 athletic and normally wear a 35-36 in waist and got the 36 in waist. Just walked/hiked 13 miles in them through the woods. Only complaint is that it was my very first wear, and they have fray or thorn markings (damage)already.

Extremely lightweight and comfy, works

Extremely lightweight and comfy, works well so far so good.

Guard pants

The perfect pants for early season bug control. They performed great on the first trip to the woods!

The pants overall fit fairly

The pants overall fit fairly well and are to size. I should’ve looked closer, but my two major letdowns are the lack of pockets and the side zips don’t have any mesh behind them. Wish they would just take the ascent and the mountain pant and put hip vents w/ mesh and quit changing the rest of it. The fabric of the Ascent Pant was bulletproof as it had Cordura woven in, and then they also went away from the Mountain Pant which was the next step up in weight There’s a reason why KUIU hasn’t changed their Attack Pant.

Guard Pro Pants

Pants Run a little too small waist and thigh area. I’d recommend going up just one size

Love them

Love them

Love them lightweight durability

Love them no burs

Great pants!

Worth the $, for sure.

The quality of these pants

The quality of these pants is excellent, and they’re very comfortable to wear. The materials and construction feel premium, and the fit through the waist and thigh is spot‑on. My only issue is the inseam length — I had to get them tailored down to 30”, which adds extra cost and effort. It would be great to see Sitka offer a 30” inseam option in the future, as many competitors already do. Aside from that, they’re a fantastic pair of pants.

Guard Pro Pant

Used these pants opening day of dove season. It was 102 outside, this pants were comfortable the vented zipper was a huge help.

Badass

Look and fit great, if the insect repellant holds up these might be my new early season favorite

Guard Pro

Great build and super comfortable. Size medium is perfect for 31-33 waist. Wish the 32 came in the same length as the 34, but the 1” shorter is not a deal breaker for someone who is 6’. Beyond 6’ you might be getting in to a high water pant situation.

My favorite

These are one of my favorite pants hands down. Extremely comfortable not too heavy or light. Good water repellent and flexible fabric. I get hot easy and these help keep from sweating. Love them.

Not as good as original guard pants

Returned bc they were too loud. Tracked down a pair of the original version and they’re perfect

Took these to Alaska for

Took these to Alaska for a blacktail hunt and they were great. Dealt with the brush and dried fast.

Good fit.

Good fit.

I really like the ease

I really like the ease of kneepad installation and removal compared to other Sitka pants where the knee pad install was much more difficult

Guard Pro Pant

Fits awesome and the insect shield is MUST for those early season hunts! Great product!

Great Pant

Very comfortable, great material, fairly quite and light weight.

Keeps me from getting bitten

Summer time in Kansas. And boy has 2026 been humid and muggy. Well these are light and the zips on the side to dump heat is awesome and it also keeps those mosquitoes and ticks out when refilling the deer feeder or putting out mineral blocks and putting out trail cameras.

Guard pro pants

I just received these. Fit is perfect. I can see how they will be bug proof with the internal gaiters. Can’t wait to get into the woods with them.

Great Pant

Perfect fit, I only wish they would offer the 34L in more sizes. The other guard pants were too thin for me but these are just right. The knee pad pockets hold the knee pads in a stable fashion as well. Will add more to the lineup for sure.

Guard Pro pant

Super light weight, I carry a knife- with they had a pocket guard on them. bug screen sits high on the calf and will not work for regular hiking/hunting boots only for high calf boots.

Lightweight with not a bug in site

Took these pants out with the Guard Shirt in Missouri 100 degree day to cut deer trails and hinge cut and I didn’t have a single tick or any other bug the whole time. Stayed lightweight and breathable the whole time. Highly recommend.

Great pants

I haven’t had a chance to test them in the field yet to verify the insect shield performance. However the pants fit true to size and are light weight enough that they feel like they’d be comfortable to wear for work weekends at our hunting property.

Guard Pro Pant

The fit of these is far superior to the original. Many hours in the woods and brush with no ticks. Worth every penny. My only complaint is that I wish these also had the hip vents. I'm 5'9" 155 lbs and the 32R fit but are a little big in the waist.

Perfect addition

Bought these for early season hunting. Comfortable and light. Will be a great addition to my early season archery hunts

Hunting in Tanzania

True to size and not very noisy while walking in the brush Seemed to offer a little better protection than the hoodie which was essentially worthless with regards to Tsetse flies

Africa experience

True to size Worked well in heat and not noisy. Better protection than the equinox guard hoodie from tsetse fly bites- the hoodie was essentially worthless for these flies

Guard Pro Pants

I use them for everything from mowing my lawn to summertime scouting.
