Equinox Guard Hoodie Reviews

Works as Advertised

Using for teal season, works as advertised. Keeps bugs more deterred than if not wearing. Light enough to not be uncomfortable in the heat.

So far I am happy

So far I am happy with it. Want to get the pants. Just waiting for them in tall.

Awesome addition to my sitka gear

Love this hoodie for early season, allows good air flow and fits amazing

Light weight and comfortable.

I’m 6’3” and 205lbs. A Large fits nicely, not too tight and not baggy. It is also long enough to tuck in without it pulling out. Have not tested the insect guard yet but fit is perfect.

Amazing

For someone like myself that has had Rocky mountain spotted fever. This clothing is awesome! Since I started wearing. I've not had one tick found on me. We'll worth price!!

Does a run a bit

Does a run a bit Large. I’m 6’ 185 and bought a L size.

Ture to size

Great early season material truly breathable

Equinox guard hoodie!

This is one of my favorite pieces of sitka gear. It actually works great at keeping insects away and is super lightweight and comfortable. Great piece for turkey season and early bow season.

All time favorite shirt!

This is the perfect shirt to wear in hot weather and keep the bugs away. Lightweight and breathable while keeping bugs from biting. Went through an ag field that had standing water in August, mosquitos were swarming everywhere, and I was the only one without bites on my torso because I was wearing this shirt. I normally wear XL in all my Sitka Gear but L works best for this as a base layer.

Legit

Wore for Ohio early teal and Goose season 2025. Zero bits, love the face cover and hood. Now need a light weight pair of gloves to stop the bugs from biting your hands

Great product

Can’t wait for the first day of archery to test this out

Great product

Very light weight and comfortable.

Bug free!

Great hoodie! Kept the bugs off me on a recent fishing trip, and it’s the perfect weight!

Awesome Hoodie

Love the light feel and the protection against bugs. It fits exactly as the guide suggests.

It’s awesome and does what

It’s awesome and does what it is suppose to do.

Must Have!

The guard line is a must for summer prep and early season whitetail here in NC.

Good to go

So far so good

Defective Equipment

Love the hoodie and the concept. Have yet to try and see if the garment actually keeps the bugs off. My only complaint was upon delivery right out the package I noticed a hole in the hood lining by the face. I own plenty of Sitka clothing. Think I speak for all customers we pay too much for quality products to have it have holes right out the package. I called customer to explain my problem. The lady I spoke with was very understanding and polite, I received a discount on my next purchase. Respect the company and what it stands for.

Equinox hoodie

Overall like the hoodie but it runs larger than I expected. If I compared this hoodie to a large core light weight hoodie , it would be an XL.

No bugs!

I now have one in every color cause they just work. It’s significant the amount of bugs around your face with this on! Get one!

Bug shirt

The Equinox Guard hoodie is our go to bug shirt for hunting , hiking, yard work, anything outdoors when the mosquitos are out. I've been wearing these shirts since they came out and have never been bit through the shirt.

Great hoodie

Great hoodie, just wish the Equinox Pants, 36R, would come in stock. . . . thanks

Amazing hoodie

Such a comfortable piece of equipment. Very well thought out. Everything it's supposed to be.

Great lightweight hoodie - keeps

Great lightweight hoodie - keeps the bugs away. They land and leave.

What bugs?

I bought this bc I was curious if it would actually work. What a great shirt, super lightweight and stretchy, while other on the hunt were dealing with gnats and mosquitoes, I never saw them.

Equinox

Very light weight, great for spring bear and fishing

Equinox Guard Hoodie

Light weight and extremely breathable.

EquinoxGuard Hoodie

Great hoodie lightweight and breathable. If you light a more of an athletic fit and plan to wear without an undershirt I would suggest going down in size.

Equinox Guard Hoodie

I picked this up on clearance. Great price, for a great product!

Very nice

Works very well. Fits a little big.

Hoodie

Color is great! Size right on. Very pleased

Loved the hoodie- perfect weight

Loved the hoodie- perfect weight for rainy warm days on Maui! All Sitka clothing I’ve purchased I love! It took a month to get here, but that wasn’t Sitka‘s fault. That’s just the way shipping comes to Maui.

Pilling after two days of wearing bino harness.

So I left a review yesterday. Wanted to correct a mistake that I spoke. The pilling that I am experiencing is not from pack Bladder pack its from my bino harness.

So far very durable when

So far very durable when walking through brush. Perfect for hot weather hunts

Survived a thru hike.

Wicked awesome. I rarely write reviews but this truly deserves 5 stars. I originally bought this as an early season archery shirt. Its perfect for that. Once the hood and mask is up the mosquitos have to go for the eyes, which isn't an issue because of the permethrin. They simply fly away Durable as hell. I thru hiked the AT in 2024. It was my choice for a daily hiking shirt. Literally every hiking day I wore it. Taking my pack off and on multiple times a day. It survived with a Lil bit of wear on the shoulders. It is now my go to fishing/hiking/ hunting shirt. WORTH EVERY DAMN PENNY.

Would be 5 star BUT

would be 5 star but after two wears (less than 10 hours scouting/wear) already have piling where my camelback water pack (not a heavy pack) straps rub. At this price point would expect better.

Love it! Great Fit and Quality

Awesome!

Greco-Roman comfort

I'm a 3XL type top and 2XL pants build. Ex-Greco Roman HWT wrestler for the U. S. and still at 58 have a big chest and shoulders. this top does not catch or hook up/bind on my upper body at all.

Guard hoodie

Works excellent really helps with mosquitos

Good product to large

Good product but runs larger than expected hopping to do an exchange.

Equinox Guard Hoodie

One of the most useful pieces made

No more ticks

I have 3 of these and haven’t had a tick on me in years while wearing.

I wish there was a

I wish there was a better way to not have the facemask up. When you have it down it can still work it's way up and feels odd.

Runs Large

I do like the product, runs large compared to other sitka clothes.

Works Great

Very comfortable

Very solid pullover that keeps the bugs away.

Love the blue and camo colors.

This Mosquito Screen Works

We recently saw an online video by a Hunter influencer which said this Guard series didn't work. I messaged him and said "What are you talking about? When you wear this hoodie around the campfire, your hands will get bit. I never remember my hands being bit with other garments. The mosquitos are still there, but they will not bite you through this technology. AMAZING.

Used this on alaska caribou

Used this on alaska caribou hunt where the skeeters were insanely thick. It was a lifesaver. They cant bite through it. Highly recommend. Runs a little large but that's good as you don't want it tight.

Early season must!

Works extremely well to keep pest away so can enjoy whatever outdoor adventure you’re doing!!!
