Lightweight Hoodie: The Good and Bad

Archery season opened and I was finally able to try out the lightweight hoodie. It performed as expected in warm conditions. Very lightweight and I stayed cool in the warm conditions. I was really, really disappointed that it did not have a front pouch like every hoodie that has ever been made has. I get it, no need to keep your hands warm but the pocket has other uses. Since I use it for Bow hunting, I keep my range finder in the pouch and it is a perfect storage location for it. Unless it is really hot, I will use my Fanatic Hoodie if possible.

Fits great, breathes good. Love wearing it to cover my face and still can find my anchor in no time. The only complaint is had a stitching come loose day one just shooting at my house on my left sleeve.

Spent many days in this over the last 2 years. It breathes well and does not take long to dry when you sweat it out.

I love it but I don’t know that it’s worth the money

True to size, very breathable

True to size, very breathable and can keep you mildly warm for cooler mornings but don’t rely on it solely. Love the face mask and hood fits great over my hat doesn’t block my view. Not very durable, already have a few runs and snags from the blind so keep that in mind.

Bought the hoodie for a recent antelope hunt. It was durable and comfortable, the weather was warm and the hoodie kept the bugs at bay aswell as let my body breath.

Very lightweight and breathable it

Very lightweight and breathable it holds sent in rather well I have had this core light weight hoodie for like two months and have not washed it at all and have sweat a lot on 90 degree days and the core lightweight does not stink at all after two months of scouting in hot summer weather. The optifade cover blends very well to the north Georgia woods the material snags a little so be carful to not brush up on rough surfaces I really like this core lightweight hoodie I would recomend it as a stand alone layer for early small game season and bow season when it still hot and break it out again for spring turkey.

Terrible

Very disappointed, maybe for only using as a base layer it maybe good. But just used it for the first time as my main layer for early season and the arms tattered with strings hanging out and white lines through across the arms. This hoodie couldn’t even handle occasionally rubbing against the tree.

Too small

Too tight and I need a 2XLT and you didn’t offer that size. 😢

Bought this for archery season and early dove season and couldn’t be more pleased. Runs true to size and very breathable.

This hoodie fits absolutely true to size but is not restrictive. Allowing flexibility in the field. It did get warm around mid day, but after removing my undershirt and just wearing the hoodie, I was perfectly comfortable. And this was around 88 degrees. It withstood some rough brush. The face mask and hood stayed on without annoyance as well.

I wore a couple of these during this years spring gobble season. They were prefect as a base layer or a stand alone top when it got warmer. I liked them so well I bought some more for this falls early bow season and for next springs gobbler season.

Great for warm weather

Great for warm weather. Wore this shirt all of August during the Arizona archery deer season and worked perfectly. Also I will use as a base layer this winter. Super comfortable and fit true to size.

This is my third core light hoodie and the hood and face cover are awesome for these early fall hunts in Arizona, I mean Idaho. 100 today and stayed about as cool as a cucumber

Like the colors but normally I’m a large and a XL with Sitka is like just right, sometimes a little tight.
