Awesome next to skin or warm weather hoodie!

I used this one a lot this year. Bow season seems to keep getting warmer each year so I needed something to keep me cool but still concealed in the heat. This works great for warm weather by itself or as a next to skin in mild weather. The face mask is nice too.

Great base layer for moving moisture off my body

I use this base layer next to skin now and find it to be excellent at moving moisture off my body & onto other layers, primarily mid or heavy weight merino wool layers, & outer layers. When hiking with a pack I sweat a lot and I found this piece keeps me dryer than merino next to skin. The poly gene treatment keeps the garment from stinking too. It’s a fantastic next to skin hoodie!

Super thin. Don't buy this for a layer. It's more of a fishing shirt in my opinion.

The Core Lightweight Hoody is super awesome! It’s lightweight, cool, and provides sun protection the back of your neck. It’s everything I ever wanted in a hunting top.

Great little hoodie, it's a great sub layer for the hood alone. It's not particularly warm as it's not intended to be, but is very comfortable and is comfortable. Definitely recommend

I purchased this hoody for my daughters boyfriend. I was very pleased with the hoody and how fast it arrived. He loved it. SITKA has excellent quality to all of their merchandise.

One of my faves

Fits snugly but not too tight. The built in face mask came in handy today in the flooded timber. Wicks sweat well while being a perfect base layer or standalone. I wear this way more than I thought I would.

Great gear

Perfect addition to my waterfowl and deer hunting systems. A bit pricey but I waited for sales and was able to put together pieces that suited my needs while staying in my budget.

Great hoodie

Bought this hoodie in deer camo or whatever they call it. Nobody can see me in the woods ;), a little tight in the chest but that’s ok. Good quality. Would buy again. Will see how it lasts under use.

Amazing but snags a little easy

This is an amazing base layer or early season jacket for my duck hunting in Virginia. The one thing is while chasing woodies the thorns and branches of flooded timber grabbed the material and made some threads run, otherwise amazing.

Used during antelope hunt mid

Used during antelope hunt mid Sept. Used it as layer for sleeping kept comfortable just that with sleeping bag. Was great base layer in cold morning around 30 degrees. By afternoon was just wearing the hoody. Same thing in early Nov mule deer hunt just needed a sweatshirt over top by afternoon. When was sweating kept me cool and dried quickly

If I only owned one piece of Sitka gear this might be it. Super light weight, comfortable and warm. Great for cool mornings or add it to your layers. The face cover incorporated into the hood is a great feature. Hidden feature I didn’t even figure out till about the third time I wore it, mittens sewn into the sleeves !! Great Hoody !!! Would definitely recommend.

My favorite piece

Out of all the pieces I own, this is my favorite. Keeps you concealed and cool when hunting September spot and stalk antelope / mule deer out west. The built in face mask is comfortable. I wear this all year round.

Great hoodie for any hunt

As a big guy that is using hunting as a way to lose weight it has been nice to have a clothing system that not only fit me but was very effective at helping me reach my goals. This hoodie has been great as a stand alone layer for my early season whitetail pursuits and as the weather turned colder it has worked great as a base layer to wick away moisture so my active insulating layer and outer layer could more effectively keep me warm. My only issue was that the torso length could be a little longer.

I like having this as a light base layer. I’ll usually walk around in this and be fine. Even when it’s cold out. When I stop moving, I’ll toss another layer on.

The Best Hunting Gear On The Market

This hoodie is perfect for all weather. This season I have used it in Montana in -6 degrees putting out full bodies. I also wore it in Arizona in 75 degrees chasing ducks. This is my second one!

I have the large for everyday wear and the medium for a baselayer. Love them both. I'm 5'9" and 175.

Great idea, but fragile as a flower

This is a great, lightweight hoody and definitely a piece that serves a purpose, but I expected more out of the product. Much like my other core lightweight gear, the fabric is not durable at all. I thought maybe my other core gear was faulty, but this hoody had the same issues. Within a 48hr period, the face fabric had several pulled threads and was starting to show signs of pilling. For reference, I wore the sweater on a backyard camping trip, so nothing crazy. Primarily, we were training dogs, hitting some balls, and jamming around the campfire. It was in tents, but nothing we did was intense, haha! Since then, I have decided to wear this for duck banding in the summer and the shirt now looks like a cat scratch pole. If you’re looking for something that never sees the light of day and is strictly worn as a lightweight base layer, this will work. If you’re expecting something that can be worn as a lightweight outer, and you’re concerned with the garments appearance (i.e., looking presentable), I would consider alternatives. Overall, the hoody serves its purpose, but will snag and pull on just about anything it touches. BEWARE of Velcro!

This is a must have for an outer layer. Use it for early season bow hunting or colder days with layers underneath.

Never go hunting with out it.

I wear this piece the most hands down. Stand alone in the early season and always a layer when it comes to the later months. And then grab a solid one to wear all the time.
