Ambient 200 Jacket Reviews

Love It!

Can't decide between this or the Ambient 100 being the best items out of the like 40 articles I've purchased in the last 6 months.

Bomber jacket for layering

Love this piece of gear.

ambient jacket

Great jacket I would highly recommend this to anyone

Softest jacket ever,

It’s one of the most comfortable jackets I’ve ever had, but at the cost of durability. It’s warm and soft. But one good snag and I had a hole.

Great jacket

Warm comfortable light weight durable

Ambient 200 Jacket: warm, lightweight, fits perfect

I plan to use this jacket as an early season jacket or insulating layer while hunting whitetail near Amherst, VA. The jacket is lightweight, has ample room for movement, and will serve great as an outer jacket on warm days or as a insulating layer under a windproof or other outer jacket. Well-constructed and designed.

Must have

For the how lightweight it is, I still cannot believe how warm it is. Essentially piece from here on out. Bought an xxl just thought the xl was a little tight and the xxl gives me a little more room.

Fits great

Fits great

Ambient Jacket perfect layering piece

I purchased the ambient jacket looking for a layering piece underneath my wind blocking layers and this jacket does not disappoint!! It is very versatile and can be used for an out layer to knock some chill off of early season hunts as well.

Ambient 200 jacket

Truly amazed at the warmth of the jacket and how light weight it is

Ambient never disappoints

Easily the best heavyweight active mid layer on the market. Nothing breathes like Ambient and this heavyweight piece is incredibly warm. I’m 6’ 190-200 lb and I chose XL because my shoulders don’t fit in Large Sitka jackets.

Jacket

Love this jacket. So so warm

Top Tier Jacket

Got this as a gift for my father, who is extremely cold-natured. He’s really happy with it. It’s been pretty cold here this winter and he has commented several times on how warm the jacket is. It’s pretty form-fitted, clearly meant to be layered. Quality is top-notch. Typical Sitka.

Ambient Jacket

Excellent product. True to size!!

Ambient 200 jacket review

Great fit, great feel. As all Sitka products, awesome!

Definitely recommend

My son loves it! We first got the wrong size, and had to exchange. The exchange process was super easy and fast.

Worth it.

Warm, quiet.

Great jacket Quality Quality Quality

Great jacket Quality Quality Quality and warm

Comfortable and Warm!

This jacket is so comfortable and warm! I wore it in 60 degree weather and was sweating! It was perfect in 40's and blocked the wind pretty well as well. Definitely a must have!

Very nice

Love the jacket. Definitely worried about the durability though. Time will tell.

Great jacket

Much warmer than I expected for a light jacket. Just a nice jacket.

Jake

Bought jacket absolutely love it warm as all get out

Warm but Delicate

It’s a great mid layer but the outer fabric tears easily. Sitka sells a patch kit so it can be fixed.

Great warm light weight jacket

Great warm light weight jacket with 3 zippers.

Ambient 200 Jacket

Perfect product for a cold day in the deer blind. Use it as a layer or a outer jacket this did everything I needed it to for a successful season

Fantastic everyday jacket!

Love this jacket. Super warm for weight ratio. Only thing is I wish it had a hood and it would be perfect

Great jacket, light and warm.

Great jacket, light and warm.

WORK HORSE

This jacket is the best mid-layer period. It is an absolute work horse in my attire. I can put on my core lightweight, fanatic hoodie, and the Ambient jacket and stay warm all the way down in the 30's. Now obviously after a long sit you may want to add the Fanatic Jacket but for the most part 100% satisfied.

Very warm

My husband loves the jacket.

My husband loves the jacket. Perfect fit and very warm.

Ambient 200

Super warm. Combo’d with jetstream jacket and was cozy in windy 20 degree weather. Large tall fits me perfectly. 6’3 195 lbs

Worth the wait!

I had great expectations when I ordered this jacket. I was hoping it would be twice as warm as my Ambient 100 jacket. I took it on a scheduled duck hunt to Arkansas the week before Christmas. I also took my Duck Oven jacket just in case this jacket didn’t meet my expectations. I wore the Ambient 200 on all six hunts and it did great. I am really impressed with it. It doesn’t get hot and sticky while putting out and picking up decoys and kept me warm sitting in a blind for two and a half hours at 29-32 degrees.

Ambient 200

Best fitting clothing company!

Jacket had a nice fit

Jacket had a nice fit but was a bit thinner than pictured show, outer fabric seem prone to tear in tough conditions

Jacket review

Got this for my x mas present to myself. It’s fantastic, only complaint which is vanity is that there is virtually no logo and the logo contrast is kinda lame, the product is wonderful. I should have looked closer online. But normally the logo is more pronounced .

Ambient 200 jacket

Perfect liner for late season paired with my stratus bibs and traverse under. Still hunted for 8 hours without coming out in 28 degree weather

New favorite garment

Love the fanatic hoodie - this piece tops that!

This is my 5th ambient

This is my 5th ambient piece and it’s perfect weight for every day use. My favorite Sitka line by far

Life weight and keeps you warm.

Nice jacket, not heavy at all, does good as an outer layer for cool and fairly chilly days as an outer layer.

Whitetail hunter experience

As advertised, but wanted to share my experience with this jacket after hunting a range of temps; I’ve used this jacket from the 50’s all the way down to -10(F). About 35 degrees and below is the temperature line where I can hike in with this as well as my bibs, boots, and bag and get tree sticks and a platform set up without sweating. But on that same note, 35 degrees with the 120 merino base layers, the equinox midi pant, and the stratus system is where I started to get chilled. I also took this jacket into the negatives and was freezing with Sitka’s heavyweight base layers and the fanatic system. One could argue that my feet, hands, and head weren’t insulated properly, but they were (if anyone struggles with this I’d recommend watching Sitka’s expert cold weather hunting tips on YouTube, that was awesome in helping with that). Again, this jacket is as advertised, but for a Minnesota guy hunting into the late season, this just wasn’t warm enough by itself. I ended up throwing the Kelvin Aerolite jacket on over top while hunting negative temps, and that was a game changer. Keeping your vitals warm is the biggest factor in cold weather hunting, and that jacket helped accomplish that, granted it is a down jacket made for the glassing knob and sitting still. I’m a slim 6’1, 185 lbs, and the Large fit me well.

Great casual jacket

We bought this as a casual jacket for the husband. He loves it!

Awsome Jacket

Really good versatile jacket

Can’t beat this jacket!

A good looking, comfortable, warm jacket that does it all. Wear it as a mid layer in the woods or out on the town this jacket does it all. From big game out west, to whitetail, the duck blind, or a cold spring morning. Fits great, extremely comfortable, quiet, and oddly warm. Size large fits great alone or with a layer or two under or over it.

Ambient 200 Jacket

The Ambient collection is my absolute favorite and the 200 Jacket completes my collection and is my favorite piece to layer under my Jetstream jacket during those fringed winter days.

Size large runs small and

Size large runs small and fit snug.

Love this jacket

I pair this under the jetstream for wind protection. The ambient provides the warmth and the jetstream provides the extra layer of insulation/heat retention, water and wind resistance. The ambient is ridiculously comfortable and can be used much colder than I had imagined. Would definitely recommend this piece.

Good quality

Warm and comfy

Great middle layer

It's very warm, definitely works as advertised. I gave it 4 stars because the zipper can give me some trouble, and the material can get caught in the zipper as well. In my experience when this happens to an insulated jacket, the zipper will catch and rip the material. I could see that happening here.

Great

I love it. Great jacket that keeps you warm no matter the temp.
