Farmers in California's Central Valley are rescuing wild duck eggs from their fields before the harvest comes through.
The SITKA Ecosystem Grant program is dedicated to the next generation–for both stewards and wildlife.
We’ve partnered with the California Waterfowl Association in their Duck Egg Rescue Program the help recover wild duck nests laid in agricultural fields prior to harvest. The efforts were led by dedicated farmers who cared for wildlife and would collect eggs as they harvested the crops. Now, California Waterfowl is helping lead the charge to save the future waterfowl broods.
